Listing is for a nice vintage (pre-Tag) Heuer 980.020 that has been fully serviced as described below.
Reliable, fully functional, and ready to wear. This is an excellent “daily driver” watch that will perform well in almost any environment and looks great doing it. Classic styling in a reliable package. No winding so just grab and go!
This example is an early thick case model (approx 12mm thick versus the later Tags which were approx 9mm thick). These have a lot more presence on the wrist and are highly desirable due to being pre-Tag.
This model is also equipped with the original Heuer signed jubilee bracelet which is extremely rare and it even has the original thick case end links which is even harder to find. THIS WATCH CAN BE PURCHASED FOR less if you want an aftermarket bracelet, contact us to discuss.
Case size: ~37/38mm without crown.
•New battery which should be good for two years or more.
•The movement is the original Heuer signed ESA quart movement that is currently running as intended. It appears very clean though service history is unknown.
•The crystal is new and flawless. It has been substantially upgraded to a sapphire crystal which is nearly unscratchable!
•The bezel insert is original and in excellent condition for its age.
•This watch comes with the it’s original Heuer signed two tone jubilee bracelet though it has stretch and a few aftermarket links were added at some point. The bracelet fits up to a 7.5” wrist.
•All seals (case back, crown, and crystal gasket) were replaced. This watch features a screw down crown. The watch was pressure tested to 30m after the case service.
