👍 Vintage Nemrod TAG HEUER 1000 Orange Dial Diver 980.007 980.005 Style Watch

Listing is for a  vintage pre-Tag Heuer 980.007. This is the earliest version that came before the “L” models and the much thinner later Tag models. 
Additionally, the orange models were only produced during the thick case version production (aside from the equally rare plexi-equipped orange model in the 37/38mm size only) making these some of the rarest Heuer jumbo size divers. 
This particular example is a very rare Nemrod version and has a ton of character with its significantly wabi dial. Yes the dial has wear but it is an interesting piece with a lot of history. The caseback also the issue numbers on the back which correlates with some other info found on the web regarding their use in the Spanish Navy: 
“This piece, numbered and limited….it bears the signature Nemrod, which was one of the largest manufacturers of quality diving equipment that, from Spain, exported its products to more than 100 countries around the world..
Also distributors of watch brands such as Aquastar, Yema, Rotary, etc., among its numerous clients, received orders to supply the Spanish Navy Diving Center (CBA). This beautiful and enigmatic specimen is one of those watches.
The watches that went to the CBA used to have a number and the initials CBA engraved on the back, since, although there have been times when the watches have been numbered and others not, the purpose was that a specific unit was assigned to each diver during a course and in the end you had to return the assigned clock and not another.”
This watch case has been professionally serviced. Fully functional and ready to wear. The previous leak which did the damage to the dial was caused by worn gaskets which have all been replaced.
Case size: ~42mm without crown (~44mm with crown and crown guards).
•The case is in nice condition for its age. Signs of use are present but not abuse. 
•New battery which should be good for two years or more.
•The movement is a new replacement ISA movement rather than the ESA movement. This modern movement will give it the reliability one expects out of a new watch while having a completely reversible movement conversion. 
•The crystal is new and flawless. It has been substantially upgraded to a sapphire crystal which is nearly unscratchable!
•The bezel insert is original and in excellent condition for its age.
•This watch comes with one of our custom jubilee bracelets which will accept original 1000 series Heuer clasp covers. The bracelet will fit up to an 8” wrist. 
•All seals (case back, crown, and crystal gasket) were replaced. This watch was pressure tested to 30m after the case restoration. The crown is a screw down crown.
