Listing is for a vintage Tag Heuer 840.006 with a beautiful matte black dial which has excellent patina to the hands which is often called “burnt tritium” in color. It is very consistent aging which is often not seen on all but the earliest versions.
This exterior of this watch is in EXCELLENT condition! You will likely not find an example this clean out there for sale. It even has the original sticker on the back.
The watch was disassembled, cleaned, and reassembled with fresh gaskets. There is no corrosion or any other issues of that kind inside this watch which can be an issue with this model and it’s predecessor the 980.023.
•The Swiss ETA 2824-2 automatic movement is functioning as intended. The movement is clean and corrosion free. The rate is very good which indicates it may have been recently serviced, see picture of timegrapher.
•The crystal is the original sapphire crystal which is in excellent condition.
•This watch comes with the pictured Isofrane STYLE strap which is what could be specified when purchasing originally.
•All seals (crown and crystal gasket) were replaced. It has been pressure tested to 50m after the service.
