Listing is for a fully refurbished custom Heuer which was made using the dial and hands from a 981.013 full size olive pvd model but featuring the larger jumbo case that has been serviced as described below.
The caseback is Heuer but not from an olive model but the only difference is the engraving of the reference number and does not affect the functionality as both the full size and jumbo models use the same case back.
Reliable and ready to wear. This is an excellent “daily driver” watch that will perform well in almost any environment and looks great doing it. Classic styling in a reliable package. No winding so just grab and go!
The original coating was removed and was cerakoted (ceramic) which is traditionally a firearms coating and is very durable if not more so than the original 80s PVD coatings.
There is one piece of dust that was on the outside of the crystal which wasn’t noticed until after photographed and is not a mark on the dial.
Case size: ~42 without crown (~44mm with crown and crown guards).
•New battery which should be good for two years or more.
•The movement is a brand new ISA quartz which is vastly more reliable than the original ESA quartz movements and are still readily available.
•The crystal is new and flawless. It has been substantially upgraded to a sapphire crystal which is nearly unscratchable!
•The bezel insert is new and in excellent condition.
•This watch comes with the pictured original Heuer signed bracelet which has also been cerakoted and will fit up to an 8” wrist.
•The case back & crystal gaskets were replaced at the time of the service. This watch features a screw down crown and the watch was pressure tested after servicing.
